At what point should a franchisor employ support staff?

There is value in making sure you have adequate resources in place to allow you to do your job as the franchisor.

You may need to employ support staff to help with administration, marketing and training. You may be able to go through your first few franchisees managing it mostly yourself. We use a ratio to determine at what point you will need to take on support staff. There are common ratios that we look at, in terms of providing support based on the number of franchisees you have and the sort of business that you operate.
